Susan Antilla is an award-winning freelance financial journalist and author who contributes regularly to The New York Times and Bloomberg Muse. She teaches feature writing at Fairfield University, where she is an adjunct professor of journalism.

Over her three decades as a journalist, she has been a financial columnist for Bloomberg View, The New York Times, The Baltimore Sun and USA Today.

Antilla is author of “Tales From the Boom-Boom Room: The Landmark Legal Battles That Exposed Wall Street’s Shocking Culture of Sexual Harassment,” which was chosen as “Best Book of the Year” in 2003 by The Connecticut Press Club.

In 2013, she won the “Best in Business” journalism award for her Bloomberg View columns from the Society of Business Editors and Writers (SABEW); the “Excellence in Journalism” award from the New York State Society of CPAs, an award she also received in 1996; first prize for personal opinion writing from the Connecticut Press Club; and the Excellence in Journalism award from the Society of the Silurians, an award she also received in 2012. 

Antilla has twice been a finalist for the Gerald Loeb Foundation Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism Award.

She received her M.A. in journalism from New York University, where she was an in instructor in the Graduate School of Journalism in 2003 and 2004. She lives in Connecticut.
