Affordable Care Act and How to Cover It

Although the Affordable Care Act was signed into law in 2010, many key provisions, including Medicaid expansion and health insurance exchange marketplaces, are only now going into effect. With goals to reduce deficits and Medicare spending, health reform aims to shift from a fee-for-service model to a pay-for-performance approach that rewards quality over quantity. Key changes include millions of patients expected to enter the system, increased protections for enrollees, and penalties to providers for poor outcomes. Hear from leading health reporters on how the overhaul will affect patients, hospitals and physicians, small businesses, and insurance companies and how to cover the nuances of health reform.
