Jodi Schneider has been a team leader in the Washington bureau of Bloomberg News since November 2010. She began as the editor in charge of tax policy coverage and a year later expanded her responsibilities to lead coverage of the U.S. Congress. She has been an editor in Washington, D.C., for more than 18 years, including at The Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report and Congressional Quarterly, where she was also director of training and recruiting for the newsroom. Before that, she was a reporter and editor at newspapers in Wisconsin, Colorado and Florida. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She speaks regularly on topics including career development, training and newsroom management to organizations and universities. She's a past president of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and is active on several committees at the National Press Club, where she regularly does workshops as "the resume doctor.''
